The Andy Hamilton Birthday card (rt) was made for his 80th Birthday gig at the Bear Tavern, Bearwood, and was signed by everyone at the gig.

The card is a mixture of computer print and monoprint. It is larger than A2 and opened out twice to leave plenty of room to sign it.

I started making customised Greeting Cards using available waste materials while I was working as a Colour Matcher in the Print. My “Inky Dick” specials proved a great hit with any of my friends, relatives and workmates who got one. The cards featured my monoprint techniques, but could also include collage, paint and traditional paste-up methods.

Computer technology entered this arena while I was at Art School. The Dolls in Winter image (rt) was originally created in from a drawing Photoshop and used as an extremely limited Xmas card for a few friends. It will soon be available in a much larger format as a lightfast digital print along with the 2003 card (click on the image to find out more).

The image on the right was the official 2002 Chrtismas Card, and carries the caption “Gradually it dawned on them that, far from than receiving presents this Christmas, they were ... in fact ... the presents.”
