I've been photographing Jazz for some years now, mostly at Corks Club in Bearwood where Andy Hamilton and the Blue Notes play, and before that the Bear. I always work in colour, but I manage to avoid using flash as that way I get the full effect of the ambient lighting.
With my SLR I use very fast film as I often work in low light. With my little VGA quality digital camera I often get nothing, but sometimes the results can be magical and sometimes they can be what a cynic might call "arty". However it does have a wonderful knack of capturing a Jazz mood.
Take a browse around this site and watch it grow as time goes by. I do my best to keep download times as low as possible but remember this site is graphics heavy and pictures have to be shown at a reasonable quality.
